Questions about ski lessons
From what age can my child start group lessons?
Our group lessons are designed for children aged 3 and above. If your child isn't quite 3 yet, you can still introduce them to skiing through a private lesson, where the instructor can better cater to their individual needs.
What is the La Maison de PIOU PIOU Option?
Available for children from 3 years old up to level 1*, this package combines group ski lessons with fun indoor activities organized by activity leaders during non-ski lesson times.
Children can be cared for:
Children can be cared for:
- a half-day in the morning or afternoon (they'll need to bring a small snack)
- or a full day (they'll need to bring lunch and two snacks).
What is Club Piou Piou?
- These are 2-hour group ski lessons for toddlers from the age of 3, which take place in a completely safe area at the foot of the village, supervised by ski instructors.
- Several levels are available depending on age and progress: PIOU PIOU, Blanchot* and Sifflote* (*intermediate levels) and GAROLOU.
Will my child be able to follow the La Maison de PIOU PIOU full day option?
- It all depends on their physical stamina and sporting habits.
- Above all, respect your child's pace. They're on holiday and the main aim is to have fun and learn about the joys of winter sports. Becoming a champion is not the main goal!
If during the course of the week, my child or I no longer enjoy our chosen lessons. Can I get a refund?
NO. If you are unsure of your ability or interest in taking part in the activities of esf Les Angles, please book a trial lesson on Sunday or Monday (subject to availability). If you then wish to continue your weekly lessons, depending on availability, it will be possible to include you in these lessons, and you will only pay the difference in the weekly ski pass (we will include your lesson already paid for in the weekly ski pass).
Can children and adults from the same family ski together?
We strongly advise against this!
Lessons should be homogeneous (age and level) to enable better progress.
Teaching children and adults to ski is not the same.

How can I help my child progress outside of lessons?
To help your child progress outside of lessons, it’s essential to implement the advice and techniques shared by the instructor. When skiing with your child, apply their recommendations to reinforce learning and encourage regular practice. This family skiing time is the perfect opportunity to support your child's development while creating a fun and motivating environment. If you have any specific questions about the advice to follow, feel free to consult your instructor for further recommendations
